14.7. Check of serviceability of functioning and replacement of understeering switches

Considered in the present manual of the car are equipped with safety cushions (SRS). When performing any works near sensors of blows, a steering column or the dashboard disconnect SRS (see Safety cushions - the general information). You do not make check of the SRS models by means of any type of the diagnostic equipment. |
The combined understeering switches of control of lighting fixtures and cleaners/washers of glasses

1. The combined switch of external lighting is located on the left side of a column and provides management of functioning of indexes of turns, head headlights, a light signal and parking fires. From the opposite side of a column there is a switch of management of cleaners/washers of glasses.
2. Remove the switch(es) (see paragraph 1, Replacement).

3a. By means of an ohmmeter or the lamp sampler equipped with the individual power supply check correctness of existence of conductivity between switch plugs in its various provisions (see accompanying illustrations and tables is lower): the ID card of plugs of the combined understeering switch of control of lighting fixtures
|
|
|
3b. The ID card of plugs of the combined understeering switch of management of windshield cleaners/washers. In case of identification of violations replace the switch. |

Replacement

1a. Remove sections of a casing of a steering column. By means of the small screw-driver accurately disunite the electric socket of the switch. Turn out two fixing screws. |
|
|
1b. Remove assembly of the switch from a steering column (see accompanying illustrations). |
2. Installation is made upside-down. |
|
Switch of management of functioning of a control system of speed (tempostaty)

1. Remove the switch from a steering column (see paragraph 3 below).
|
|
2. By means of an ohmmeter or the lamp sampler equipped with the individual power supply check existence of conductivity between switch plugs in both of its provisions (see an accompanying illustration). In case of need replace assembly. |
|
|
Replacement
|
|
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery and wait at least three minutes before starting implementation of the procedure.
|
|
If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action! |
2. Uncover with the switch.
|
|
3. Turn out fixing screws (see an accompanying illustration), disunite electric sockets and remove the switch from a steering wheel. |
3. Installation is made upside-down. |
