3. Routine maintenance

General information

This Chapter was formed with the purpose to help the owner of the car to support the vehicle in a condition of the maximum readiness for operation, receiving from it effective return with observance of requirements to profitability and safety.

At the beginning of the Head the schedule of routine maintenance of the car is provided. Below the Sections devoted to a detailed statement of an order of performance of each of procedures of service separately are offered attention of the reader. Material of Sections included descriptions of visual checks, adjustments, procedures of removal and installation of components, and also various useful tips and recommendations. The illustrations given in the beginning of the Section with the image of types of a motive compartment, suspension brackets and steering will help the reader to deal with placement on the car of the components which are subject to service.

Serving the car according to the kilometrazhno-time schedule, and following the detailed recommendations given below, the reader will receive the accurate action program which implementation will provide long duration and reliability of service of its vehicle. Remember that this program is made on a complex basis and implementation only of its separate points with neglect others will not result in desirable result.

In the course of service of the car the reader will soon be convinced that many procedures can, and have to be united in the general groups in view of similarity of the nature or proximity of an arrangement of knots. For example, if the car for any reason is lifted above the ground, it is necessary to take an opportunity and at the same time to check a condition of components of system of production of the fulfilled gases, a suspension bracket and steering. Also, having hired a dynamometer key, check effort of tightening of all available carving fixture.

The first step of service of the vehicle is always self-training of the performer.
