1. Check a condition of safety locks and all terminal connections of the corresponding electric chain. Make sure of completeness of a charge of the battery. 2. Transfer transmission to situation "P", cock the parking brake and turn the ignition key in position of ON, without starting the engine.

3. Without disconnecting a heater fan electric motor, connect a wire crossing point to the plug of a blue-black wire from a reverse side of the socket of the motor (see an accompanying illustration), ground the opposite end of a wire on weight. If the motor starts working, therefore the cause of failure lies in malfunction of the switch, resistors or a connecting electrical wiring. |
4. If the motor does not function at the grounded plug of a blue-black wire, remove a wire crossing point, disunite the socket and by means of the voltmeter measure tension between the plug of a blue-black wire and weight (see an illustration above). On all models if the voltmeter fixes battery tension, and the motor does not function, in one of the high-speed modes, make its replacement (see Removal and installation of an electric motor of the drive of the fan of a heater). If tension is absent, check a condition of the relay of the motor and a connecting electrical wiring (see the Head Onboard electric equipment).
|
5. Resistor assembly is located on a casing of a driving electric motor of the fan (see an accompanying illustration). On a payment several resistors which provide a possibility of the choice of the low and average high-speed modes of functioning of the fan are installed to assembly. |
|
6. If the motor rotates, however there is no possibility of the choice of one of the high-speed modes, remove resistor assembly from a casing of a heater and visually check it for existence of damages. by means of an ohmmeter check resistance between plugs 2 and 4 (see an accompanying illustration). If resistance any of resistors is shown below norm, or is equal to infinity, replace assembly. |
