13:24. Removal and installation of the central console

Considered in the present manual of the car are equipped with safety cushions (SRS). When performing any works near sensors of blows, a steering column or the dashboard disconnect SRS (see schemes of electric connections at the end of the Head Onboard electric equipment).

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
|
|
If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action! |

Back section of the console
|
|
|
|
1. Having hooked, remove a decorative cover and turn out lobbies of the screw of fastening of back section of the console (see an accompanying illustration). |
|
|
2a. Turn out the fixing screws located on both sides of back section of the console (see accompanying illustrations). |
|
|
2b. On some models for ensuring access to screws of fastening of back section of the console it is simpler to shift forward section forward. |
3. Pull the lever of the parking brake up. Remove back section of the console, having lifted it up and having handed over back. |

Forward section of the console
|
|
1. Remove the handle from the gear shifting lever (see the Head Korobk of gear shifting).
|
|
2a. Give screws of fastening of forward section of the console (see accompanying illustrations).
|
|
|
2b. … and also along a first line. |
|
|
3. Having given fixture, pull the rear edge of section up and back and remove it via the gear shifting lever (See an accompanying illustration). Disconnect an electrical wiring and remove the console from the car. |
4. Installation is made upside-down. |
