3.14. Rotation of wheels (each 12 000 km of a run or time in 6 months)

Rotation of wheels has to be made regularly according to the schedule of routine maintenance of the car, and also at identification of signs of uneven wear of protectors. At rotation the car has to is lifted above the ground – take an opportunity and check also a condition of components of the brake system (see Check of the brake system (each 12 000 km of a run or times in 6 months)).

Authors of this manual recommend to make rotation of the wheels equipped with radial tires according to the provided schemes (see accompanying illustrations). The majority of models are completed with tires with not directed protector, otherwise pay attention to difference of an order of implementation of the procedure. It is easy to distinguish the directed tires on existence on a sidewall of the arrow specifying the direction of rotation – two tires with the right direction of rotation and two – with left have to be included in the package.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. It will be most correct to lift above the ground all car – use the winch, or the car and install to a poddomkratta it on the props got under frame longerons (use for fixing of the car in the lifted situation less than four props is inadmissible by no means!).
2. Upon completion of rotation of wheels check pressure of a rating of tires, correct it according to standard requirements. Make sure of reliability of fastening of wheels nuts (ideally wheel nuts should be tightened a dynamometer key and to check effort through 40 km (25 miles) of a run.
