3.31. Replacement of the RKPP gearbox oil (each 48 000 km of a run or time in 24 months)

Replacement of the RKPP gearbox oil has to be made in strict accordance with the schedule of routine maintenance of the car (see the Schedule of routine maintenance).

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Prepare a reserve of fresh gearbox oil of the required grade (see Specifications).
2. Treat number of other necessary tools and materials: props for fixing of the car in the lifted situation, the ratchet drive on 3/8 inches (with the extender) to a face key, the drain capacity not less than 2.5 l and a stock of rags and/or old newspapers.

3. Oil had to merge is previously heated-up up to the normal working temperature during a short trip. Hot oil has higher fluidity and better washes away slime and other deposits. Having made a short trip and having warmed up the transmission up to the normal working temperature, park the car on the flat horizontal platform with a hard coating, and establish to its poddomkratta on props, having provided free access to a drain stopper of a case. Turn out a stopper (see an accompanying illustration) and lower oil in the prepared drain capacity.

4. Screw a stopper into place and strongly tighten it.
5. Fill in necessary amount of fresh gearbox oil of the required grade in RKPP case. Level can be considered normalized when oil begins to follow too much a jellied opening.
6. Lower the car on the earth.
