3.22. Check of a condition of components of system of production of the fulfilled gases (each 9600 km of a run or times in 6 months)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Having waited for full cooling of system of production of the fulfilled gases (not less than three hours later after an engine stop), attentively examine all its components, beginning from a flange of fastening of a reception pipe to a final collector and finishing with a cut of an exhaust pipe. For providing free access under the car hang out it by means of the winch, or tire out on a platform or a viewing hole.

2a. Check system sections for existence of signs of leak of the fulfilled gases (see accompanying illustrations), traces of corrosion and mechanical damages.

2b. Check places of their joint.

2c. Make sure of reliability of tightening of fixture. Check a state and reliability of fastening of arms and rubber suspensions of components of system (see an accompanying illustration).


3. At the same time examine the car bottom on existence of holes, traces of development of corrosion, a divergence of the welded seams and other damages allowing the fulfilled gases to get into interior of the car. Seal all found openings with silicone or usual body hard putty.
4. The roar and many other extraneous noises during the movement often are a consequence of weakening of fixture of components of system of production of the fulfilled gases or shifts of its sections. Attentively check a condition of arms and suspensions, pull pipes, the muffler and the catalytic converter whether checking they adjoin to elements of the bottom or a suspension bracket. In case of need replace components of support of system.
5. On an external condition of a cut of an exhaust pipe it is possible to estimate the general working condition of the engine qualitatively. The consistence and color of the deposits covering the end of a pipe allow to reveal violations of adjustments of the engine. If the pipe is covered with black sazhisty deposits, or on it the raid of whitish color was formed, the engine needs control together with a power supply system.
